Hi Guys,

ive inherited some scraps from a friend and im putting them together to have as a htpc just for watching films on.

Ive put everything together in a new case but something is confusing me.

if i turn the PSU on from the switch at the back. the CPU fan revs upto 100% until i turn the computer on via the case which slows down the cpu fan to a normal slow speed.

once the computer is turned off again, via the case the cpu remains spinning at a normal speed...

Anyone with any idea why it would do this ?

Thanks

Strange one, Some systems / PSU used to keep the fans running after the system shutdown for a few minutes to remove any residual heat. Seems your is doing something similar or the motherboard has issues!
