I have a Sunflower Golden Green HX 750W PSU. Whilst gaming I heard a big pop a s caught a spark coming out of the PSU from the corner of my eye.

I immediately cut the mains. Then I put in my spare Corsair HX 620W psu in. Now the PC powers on but for a few second then restarts? What can I do? Could the mobo have been fried?

I suppose it is possible that the board or something else has been damaged. The only way to be sure is if you have spares to swap in one by one (mobo/cpu/ram) otherwise you will have to RMA the most likely item first (motherboard) and hope it's that. Have you tried clearing cmos? Taking the battery out for a few minutes? Minimum components installed?

Ok tried booting with each part in and still the same. Took it out the case and Al I have connected is cpu, ram and psu. When I power it up I do hear a feint click then the cpu fan spins but then it restarts etc....

I'm going to RMA the board with Gigabyte. It's mean to have all these features like surge protection and ultra durability but the haven't helped. Is there anyway to check its not the cpu?
