Had this power supply for couple of years Corsair HX 620W ATX Modular SLI Compliant Power Supply when i purshased it was regarded us one of the best on the market couple of days ago it stopped working tried it on anther pc to check and no luck so think it is totally died. So looking for a replacement one so what is reguarded us one the best now days? Looking for modular and some thing that will power up either a 4890 or 275.

The Corsairs are still meant to be very good.
Also have a look at the Be Quiet stuff.

I opted for a BeQuiet 850w on a c2d 4870 rig which should give me enough if I ever want to xfire :)

My budget is 120 Pounds max just was wondering what is regarded us one of the best power supplies is the corsair still a decent power supply Cant remember where i got it from.

Had mine for when it was first released like the look of that one you selected simatfung available monday i think thats the one.

Hmm, these 620W Corsairs seem to be breaking quite a lot lately. I understand you'll see more posts due to their popularity, but they seem pretty unreliable. At least they don't take out components when they go though.

they probs reached a wall of certain usage when they give up but like you said at least they go quietly:D but erm have you changed the fuse in the plug or reset the fuse in the PSU?

i wasnt precisely sure on my information sorry but i was talkin to a guy about his corsair and he said he either reaplaced the fuse in the power cable or something to do with the PSU itself

apologies for vagueness as i do not have one

The Corsair HX 750W is the best you can buy in your budget, without a doubt.

The only thing you need to do is check it will fit in your case, as it's quite large. :)
