New build:

Seasonic X series 750 W
Asus Sabertooth Z77
MSI GTX 560ti

Assembled outside the case, turn on... Nothing - no LEDs lit, no fan twitch, dead. Both MB power conectors in, re-seated all plugs. Nothing.

Rescued an old no name 650 w PS from an old machine, fitted it to new build... Boots ok.

Tried Seasonic in old machine... Nothing.

I can't do anythig else can I? I'm in the process of returning it for a refund. Don't want to wait for a replacement and will buy one from a regular store. They have a very limited range if you know the one i'm talking about. Any suggestions for a RELIABLE 750W.

That was my second Seasonic. About 5 years ago I did a build around a Gygabyte MB and Seasonic PS. It would'nt boot. Emails to Seasonic revealled they were aware of problems with that combination and they sent me the next model up for no extra charge. Their RMA Depot was in the UK (Telford) and with such good after sales service I said I would allways use Seasonic.

Not any more two out of two duff PSs is enough.

Oh, and I will never buy a fully modular PS again either.

This OCZ was the best availlable in the store. I could'nt stand the strain of waiting another 24 hours for mial order.

Whats wrong with a fully modular psu?

Update: For cosmetic reasons I now have a Corsair HX750 750 Watt fitted. Semi modular, working ok, looking good. I Know they're made my Seasonic.
