Power supply

In terms of a power supply, im buying a PC with i7 and a decent card etc. Is it essential to have just the right amount of power or will paying a little extra and getting say, 800 instead of 650 be a good idea?

500W ish is fine for a single GPU. If you are getting a SLI/Xfire capable mobo then 750W would make more sense, if not 850W
