Hi, Ive just transfered my components in my new Lian Li O11D, I use braided bitfenix extentions for the mobo and gpu power. however coming from a HAF X its a bit of a tight fit containing both the extention cables and power supply cables. I would like to clear up some of that space.
I have a Corsair RM850 btw (bought in 2014),
My idea was to depin the connector from extention cables and put them into the original conectors that go into the corsair power supply. So as to do away with the original wires the psu came with.
ie. the connection path would be = mobo connector > extention cables > original corsair connectors > power supply.
I am fairly confident in doing this, and as long as I dont mess up the pin order I think it should work fine. The extention cables are obvs fit to handle the power... however has anyone tried this at all? is there anything im not privy to?
