Power Surge on usb hub

My girlfriend got this when she broke the plastic bit inside her usb port. What I think was happening is that the two power connectors on the usb port where connecting and drawing to much power. Check for damage within the usb port, generally pretty unfixable, maybe think about getting a usb card or another hub
