power switch issue

Hi guys
I wonder if anyone can help me with an issue on a mates PC.

When you press the power button, nothing happens. If you keep your finger on it, it turns on after about 30 second, sometimes longer. Now it wont turn on at all.
When the pc is on, its rock solid.
The case is a Antec one hundred. is it likely to be the switch? if so how would you go about repairing it?

Reaplcement switch would be what i'd do for simplicity's sake

Is it likely to be the switch if it turnes on after holding the switch down for 30 seconds?

Test the mobo with a screwdriver or similar before you change the switch. Go for the simplest test first.

I will try the screwdriver fist and see what happens
