soooo your pc installed in yor dads case would notr boot up either ??? that is wierd. you are deffinatly connetint the power switch to the right place and not connecting the reset switch instead ?

definitely in the right place,the only thing else i can think is the front panel cables,in the two cases that dont work,the power switch cable is blue and white twisted ,and the other is red and black and works

have u managed to fix the problem?

my little bro is currently experiencing the same sort of problem. i haven't fixed it yet but there is def. power going to my MOBO but the switch when I press on it won't turn on the pc. very annoying.

I reckon the switch is faulty or a grounding problem as the connectors are in the correct place.

let me know.
