I have just built up the following and when I switch it on everything has power but I am getting no output on the inbuilt graphics.

I have

Coolermaster 460W PSU
Gigabyte GA-M750SLI-DS4
AMD Phenom 9850
2x2gb Crucial DDR2 800
2x500GB Seagate drives

I have connected all the fans, the 20 pin power and the 4 pin next to it then there is an 8 pin connector but I only have 1 4pin connector that will fit in the required holes the other 4 pin is different and if I plug in the 6 pin it just doesn't boot. There is power the hard drives spin up but I get no output on the screen. I'm going to try a different moinitor but I'm thinking I need a different power supply that has this 8 pin connector am I right as I don't want to keep buying things that don't fix my problem.

Any help appreciated

Thanks

Phil

tried booting with just one stick of ram mate, your psu should run that lot no problem.

Was doing that while you posted and your right, pc now works. Tried with each stick and only boots with 1 out of the 2 so I have a dead memory stick from crucial so they will be getting that back tomorrow.

Thanks for the help much appreciated.

I would just install your system on the 2 gig for now, then add your drivers for everything and get your operating system fully patched up,then add your second stick and try booting with the 4 gig after everything is patched up.

Also try and update your bios,it could save you the trouble of having to return some memory, good luck..
