Power Tools & General Tools Recommendations & Advice

Sadly, I've been promising/threatening to hang these cabinets and bits for the last 6 weeks now so I think my grace period is running out! The Bosch one seems it works 'fine' as long as you remember to touch the wall with your other hand, or something. lol.

I wouldn't trust the above fittings for anything in plasterboard.

Have a look at this video

I like the T-Bolts, the pack comes with a 16mm bit.

Around 2:00 in the video he shows how to use neodymium magnets to find the screws used to fix the studs, once you've found one then go above/below to find the others in that stud

A friendly reminder that you need to wear eye protection when using line trimmers.

I wear a “forester” style chainsaw helmet with built in ear protection and a mesh face shield when using my Stihl petrol trimmer and I always have small pieces of plant/grass debris stuck to my face and safety glasses when I’m finished.

Absolutely agree with this. Plus, leg protection (at least trousers) is a very good idea.

It’s an absolute doddle to work with though. Likewise, it gives a good finish and is cheap.

I never had any issues fixing to it, just need the right tool and fixing for the job.

Short is something very heavy like a TV or a heavy bookshelf, I just use Fisher Duo power and nothing has fallen down, including some shelves with books on.

I use an U/cow horn handle, brush cutter with metal blade to clear footpaths. I wear gloves and a helmet with visor. Although it has ear protectors they are not necessary because it’s battery powered.

What's an elephant handle?

They are also totally over kill for anything other than the likes of a kitchen cabinet or big TV.

Good hybrid plugs like fisher duo power are good for the vast majority of applications.
