My sons pc just went off when playing a game randomly.

Turned it back on then 2 minutes later all the plugs tripped in the house.

flicked back on and did it again.

Everything else if fine just if i turn his PC on it trips all the sockets.

Hes only has his pc and monitor plugged in nothing else.

PSU dead or something else?

I'm guessing you've tried swapping kettle leads? I've had them go bad on me before. If not then yes, sounds like a flaky PSU

Time for a new PSU by the sound of it, I had one go on me and it did the same with the electric tripping it out each time I tried with a new lead etc. All being well pc could be fine?? ( fingers X'ed) but I wouldn't keep trying it just to be safe until you change PSU over for a new one or one you know that is working fine.;)

Have you tried something else in the socket, and also tried the computer in another socket? Try plugging something highpowered like a kettle or vacuum into that socket to make sure the circuit is working ok, if it doesnt trip using other devices i would start looking for the PSU warranty.

If it doesn't trip straight away then I very much doubt it's the kettle lead, most likely the psu I'd guess.

Your friendly sparky
