Things like your boiler will still be using power even if they're not 'on'. Fridge drinks the juice still even if the compressor isn't running.

HTPC? Sky boxes? Chargers? Printers? Immersion heater?

Is there potentially a spur going to a part of the house/flat that you're not aware of?

I don't know what my usage is but the only things permanently on are:

fridgefreezer
boiler
house alarm
Router/modem
Clock radio
Electric toothbrush

Everything else stays off until used

Try switching them off one by one to see how low you can get the number. Managed to get my flat down to 20watts, think the fire/burglar alarms are the rest.

Most times I can't get it below 295 - 345w. It's only two freezers and one fridge through the night plus the boiler pump/heating. Most of the time into the evening it's 995 - 1.19KWatt.

If you leave a 1m extension chord plugged in and switched on but with nothing plugged into it, that's costing you about 5 picowatts, and that's the ones without the little red light!!
