Mine is saying 273w for:

Intel Q9550
9800gt
4gb Ram ( 4 sticks)
Asus p5q
And a few other extras

Currently running a BeQuiet! 450w modular :) Takes a weight off my mind as i was wondering how much more it could handle.

It's worth buying a Power Meter for a tenner just so you know your own system. Comes in useful when adding bits later. My watercooled system rarely goes above 320w so I know i have ample room to add a few device if i want to.

I'll second that, those power meters are useful little things.

ps have a power meter , gonner ask collegue to bring it over , hes had that unit a long time now !

A UPS such as the APC range which connect to the PC through USB can also give you a power reading. My system including a TFT monitor, draws 124W~260W depending on load :)
