Power useage of Core Duo vs Core 2 Duo

I am interesting in a notebook and I wanted to know how the power usage of the 2 chips stack up.

Or in other words, whats the best cpu for a notebook.

Core 2 Duo is 20% better in every respect over Core Duo IIRC.

C2D uses the same amount of power as CD but does 20% more work, so C2D is more power-efficient.
