I just can not make my mind up what card to go for i have the gts640 and was stuck on buying a 4870 but then i see the gtx260 draws less power which is good for me because i have a sea sonic 430 power supply,then i read people say go for the gtx280 because they are cheap at the moment i just can not make my mind up :( need some people to point me in the right direction please.

I do not realy want to upgrade my power suppy but if i must i will.

I game at 1680*1050 but may upgrade to 24 moniter at some time.

Also what length are the all said cards because my gts640 just fits.
 
Regarding the psu you need to look at it's rated amps on each rail. Those cards you want use a lot of amps on each rail.

Do you know the amps of your psu?

Both cards are good. The 4870 and 280.

If you can afford it IMO go for 280 at it's reduced price but don't be surprised about having to change your psu although seasonic is a good make. :)
