Powerbook G4 17" Screen problems

so a few months ago my powerbook constantly displays a 1px wide vertical yellow line at the right side of my screen. I ignored this for a while but just today a 2nd line has appeared next to it.

Now the laptop is approaching 3 years old and I just wondered if apple would do anything about it as it seems to be a common problem with laptops starting with serial W85#######

Any one have anything to say on the subject?

I have a W85 powerbook that had a defect on the screen, making horizontal white lines all the way down it - sorta like your signature. I got it sorted in the first few months by an affiliate and they were totally fine with it. If you've got Apple Care and it's not expired yet, you should be able to get it fixed. take it to a retailer and don't take their ignorance as an answer

I don't have applecare on it

I am tempted to see what the house insurance says. I have used them before when the previous screen was accidentally put through and they sent me a new model.

If they did that again I suppose I would get a top of the range power book but thats up to my dad if we use that again but I'll go over my options.
