I have 2 Powecolor HD3870 PCS in Crossfire on a MSI NEO2 FR board with V1.6 Bios with an E6300 @3.5Ghz and 2GB ram at 1 Ghz. I am running Cat 7.12 and have Crossfire enabled in CCC. I just built this up yesterday with a fresh Windows install and I am getting bad performance. 11K single card and 14k in Crossfire on 3DMark 06. It also doesn't scale well in Crysis 37Fps on single and 40Fps in Xfire.

Software Crossfire does not work so I have to install the bridge dongles. I have tried just one at a time on each connector and both at the same time with no difference in results. Upped my PCIe freq and just about everything else I could think of.

ATI Tray Tools does not recognise them it also does not have 2D/3D mode like most other current Gen ATI cards so does not load Hotkey Poller. I know one other person in this Forum is having very similar problems.

I am thinking it may be a BIOS thing and may flash to a new BIOS. Winflash does not recognise the card properly either so I would have to force it with ATIFlash I guess. I am worried about that for obvious reason, ie maybe the power color doesnt have some of the circuts built in to support the other bioses, the lack of 2D and 3D clocks being one possible sign. I want to do this to get rid of the over 860Mhz memory divider issue anyway.

I am stumped so any information on flashing this card or other advice would be greatly appreciated!!

The 3dmark score seems fine, and the performance in crysis is to be expected, are you running patch 1.1 for crysis?
