powercolor hd 4870x2 problem.

i have a problem with this graphics card, i recently put together a new system but the graphics card will not boot up all it shows is 3 red lights, and from my understand it is either a faulty card or not enough power being supplied by the psu, i know the latter cannot be correct as i have a 1kw psu and have used both connections into the card.

do i rma the card?, or is possibly a motherboard problem?

some mobos cant run X2 cards sepcially mine the Abit IX48 Hotfoot.

I had this exact problem on my PowerColor 4870 X2 card, I RMA'd it and got my replacement yesterday.

how long did your RMA take? i have a simliar problem with a different card that i might RAM depending on time

i rma'd mine this morning its getting picked up tomorrow and hopefully a new one will be delivered.

hopefully this time it works, because the monitor showed no signal so surely thats a graphics card problem and not a motherboard one?
