Looks quite impressive, 1100MHz core (stock).

Because this ain't a reference 7870 card and will presumably be priced as such...
Also sorry for grammar policing but *they're*
7870 and 7850's are up now £199 for a '50 and £289 for a '70.
I was going to go for a '70, but they are just far too expensive for their performance. I can buy a MSI TFIII 570 for £50 less that'll perform just as well... =/
AMD have got some crazy pricing going on this gen.
same perfromance and same price as 6950 18 months later
They think we must be mugs
6970 not 6950

So it's not as fast as a 580 and costs £20 less.
Another fail.
The same performance as a 6950 lol. Did you even bother to look at the review. These cards also look like good overclockers with them hitting 1200mhz core with no volts added. At these clocks they are trading blows with the 7950 and sometimes getting close to the 7970. With a little voltage added it will be interesting to see what can be achieved.
I do agree that the prices are too high but to say 6950 performance is not telling it like it is.
The problem is what the card does out of the box. Not enough.
Sure, some will see the "value" in overclocking it, but the very fact that you absolutely must overclock it just to see any worth in it at all sucks.
It's way too expensive.
. All that is wrong with this card is the price,
yep a major flaw
It's not really stock though...factory overclocked to be precise. Also as always, AMD cards always look better when comparison are done without any proper AA applied.Looks quite impressive, 1100MHz core (stock).
