wow this generation of gpus has been so misleading. would put anybody off if they bought one of these or one of the many nvidia ones with misleading names.

why have the same gpu names but with different specs not even overclocks just different hardware inside them...

That second card is a baffin core while the first is lexa. The second one will unlock shaders/compute units and also overclock like a monster. Basically the second card is an rx560.

Thanks for that info.

So my AXRX 550 2GBD5-DHA/OC version should have some head room for OC'ing?
Any thing I should be aiming/aware of and how to I unlock the shaders?

Thanks again

So just flash the cards BIOS with this one???

Yea or modify it's bios, my rx550's that are baffin cores all unlock to 896 shaders at least, with an extra couple of compute units to boot they end up on par with a 560 it will also raise voltages so you can get like 400mhz more out of the core at least, standard i think is 800mv but the mod will allow 1000+ mv taking the card from around 44w to 65w at the wall. Baffin 550's (most are lexa) are like little gems.
