Hi all, I have recently purchased a powercolor x850 xt. The card seems to run significantly better than my older 9800 Pro AIW, however, I have had a fair bit of trouble since my card was delivered last week.
When running the card with any of the last few driver updates on any 3D game, after a few minutes the game starts to stutter a little. After that little black blocks fly all over the screen and large black shapes appear from the centre. Eventually red chequed stripes display horizontally before the computer crashes and restarts.
I have only managed to capture the polygonal shapes in a screenshot. When the card crashes the temperature of the GPU is generally around 50 degrees, which should be well under the cards optimum performance range.
MY current rig is:
AMD 64 3000+ (2.00 ghz)
1 Gb RAM
HDA Digital Mystique 7.1
