Hi guys,

I have a question about my PowerColour 4870x2.

Well im playing Dragon age:Origins at the mo (great game by the way). I have AMD OverDrive running in the back ground sometimes just to check my temps (as new cpu Corsair H50 cooler installed). I noticed when I check my tems that only my first gpu is running at max speed ie: core750, mem900, volt 1.25. The second core however is always: 507, 500, volt 1.05... never seen it higher!

Is this normal?! The second core never seams to be working like the first core. Just worried its playing up maybe? How do twin core gpus work... don't they share the load evenly?!

thanks

not in crossfire ,(maybe i didnt word it right) 4870X2 has two gpu cores on the one card. first core working overload, second core is not... was just wondering if that normal?! Game maxed out @ 1920x1200 with AA

thanks for responce!

2 cores on the same card also relies on crossfire, and so if the game has no support for it only 1 core will work. Hence why your second core is in idle mode.

oh right, didnt realise crossfire could be two gpu's on one card.

I thought it was two separate cards used in tandem. thanks for that
