Powercool psu

I have bought a Powercool 850w which cost £54 inc VAT

im power a Zotac 260 216core gtx, but im getting nothing on the monitor, just check signal strength.. or something like that

Has anyone heard of this make or had any experience with one as I dont know if it has a poor power output or not.

personally never heard of them, had a little look and seems it churns out 16A on 4 rails, not sure how amps are combined mathematically as it's not a simple addition process, you may get away with it tho. However on your next PSU purchase may want to look at corsair, be-quiet, OCZ or any of the other reputable brands. However it is risky using cheaper PSUs as it is the only component that can really take out everything.

Name & price does not give me confidence, assuming you have checked you have installed both power cables to the graphics card, can you check another card.

i havent got another graphic card, ordering new mobo tomorrow with new ram so ill let u know as it has onboard vga

You'd be better with a good 500W than a crap 850W at the same price I'm afraid

216 Cores? How long was i out...

But yeah, it's best to stick with brands like Corsair, SeaSonic, Antec and maybe OCZ (although my friend just had his blow up on him).

How are Coolermasters PSUs?

lots of good reviews, see if this fixes my bloody pc lol, along with a new mobo :-)
