Hi guys,

Bought this:

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-037-OP

From OcUK back in May. It blew up on me two days ago (not good timing if you ask me lol).

OcUK have said I need to contact the manufacturer directly. In this case it's Powercool. Has anyone here had any dealings with them? If so, what was their turnaround, etc? Also, can't seem to find any contact details for them, so any help in that area as well would be great.

I am just tempted to buy a new PSU but I want to see if I can RMA this one first.

Thank you all kindly :)

Like Cleeecooo says, OCUK has to sort this out. There has been quite a lot of people getting fobbed off by them with regards to warranty recently and it's not good enough. In the first year the contract is with the retailer. You would think it would be simple seeing as it's a OCUK value psu.

Try and get a refund and then buy a decent psu.

By law OcUK have to sort it out. you bought it from them, you have a contract with them

Yes, but they have stated it is outside their 28 days so I have been advised to contact Powercool directly. Like I said I bought it end of May 2011. It blew up end of July 2011. So, they're pretty much correct in their statement.

Ah ok. I will give them a ring then. Thank you. :)

They are trying to fob you off. Don't stand for it.

No they're not.
A customer is never expected to deal with a manufacturer, even outside of the first year.

Thanks guys. I just rang them, was told again about their outside 28 day ruling. But the guy on the phone has said he will arrange an RMA for me. Still find it odd that they didn't want to deal with themselves. Ah well.
