Powercut!

Woke up at 6am this morning to my UPS alarm warning buzzer to say the power is off. Turns out half my road is down. According to EDF's automated message system they are doing "emergency work". Great day for it. :mad:

That looks like some kind of Alien embryo, I reckon they're being invaded.

I'm All leccy in my house so when there's a power cut it's straight back to the dark ages.

Had to get my Sister to bring some flasks of hot water up a few years ago when it went off during a harsh winter.

Well it was back up by 8:30 so no ruined Christmas thankfully.

I'm guessing it was one of those things where they knew the system wouldn't be able to handle the xmas cooking load unless they "did something" so decided to bite the bullet and do it early morning to try to get it done before people got up.
