PowerDVD / Display problem

I'm not sure if this is actually a problem with PowerDVD 5 or the display settings....

Using a Radeon 7000 to output to the TV via S-Video. Problem is that once I start PowerDVD playing I lose the mouse pointer on the TV screen. This makes it a real pain to access menus and stuff. I can't seem to find a key to tab through menu options either. The mouse pointer is there fine on the PC monitor. The only thing that works are the media keys on the keyboard (play, pause, stop, etc), which is great once the movie is playing....

Now, I was originally having problems with the video image tearing on the TV. During this time the mouse pointer was there on the TV (the TV was a clone of the monitor), but during messing with settings to solve the tearing (which I did) I've now lost the mouse on the TV  I've tried backtracking through the settings I messed with but no joy.

Also, whereas before the TV was a total clone of what was on the monitor, now as soon as I start PowerDVD it automatically outputs full screen to the TV. PowerDVD can be in a window on the PC monitor - but it will be full screen on the TV. This is kinda cool, but I'm thinking it may be the cause of my problems. I can't seem to find an option anywhere for this tho.

Sorry for the long-winded and confusing post - I was messing around with this all day yesterday and my brain has turned to mush :(

Just an update in case anybody ever has similar problems :)

So, the Theatre mode in the ATi Cat drivers basically outputs full screen to the TV as soon as you start playing a DVD. This is good, but you can't access the desktop or mouse pointer anymore. The keyboard does work fine and you can use the cursor keys to navigate menus. Theatre mode also gives much better image quality than just cloning your display to the TV - there is no tearing and the image looks great....almost as good as my proper Sony DVD player. So all good...

However, if you accidentally knock PowerDVD to the background the keys won't work anymore - but the movie will continue to play fullscreen on the TV. This is pain because if (like me) your PC/monitor isn't that close to the TV, you have to get up and go over to the computer and maximise PowerDVD again in order to be able to get control back on the TV. With me? :p
