PowerDVD Using the Wrong Soundcard

I have 2 soundcards installed:
1x Creative XFI (came with the computer) which I just use for the Optical In
1x MAudio 2496 connected to my Hifi speakers which is set as the default device & communication device.

I'm trying to use PowerDVD (was using 8 but installed 10 to see if it would help) to play a BluRay but unless I disable the XFI card in Windows playback devices I cant make it use my maudio card (despite it being the default).

The audio options in PowderDVD seem pretty limited, just gives my the option to change number of speakers and the output type, nothing about choosing a specific playback device.

How can I stop it using the XFI without having to disable the card?

edit: Ok, playing the audio over my maudio card sounds really bad! Sounds better though my Sennheiser headphones over the XFI.
