Powered FireWire card - stuck!

I have a card which has a four pin male Power connector on it. This is not a Molex sized one, the pins are open. Seems the right size for a floppy drive power cable so I bought one but that fits really badly ( bends the pins ) and won't boot. What cable do I need??

Please provide the specific model of the card and a picture if you can.

It looks like a floppy drive power connector to me.

Try taking the card out (if you haven't already) and booting.

You need to remove the link as it's to a competitor.

It does look like a floppy drive connector. They never did fit that well, but shouldn't actually be bending the pins.

IIRC didn't floppy drive connectors physically fit both ways up, but only worked one way up?

I have a memory of smoke pouring out of a floppy drive and I think it was because of the cable.

They only "fit" one way.

Perhaps that's why the pins are bending.
