Powerfull Wireless?

I know someone who lives in an older house and the walls in it at at least a foot thick stone at points.
I have tried a couple of linksys devices but none seem to be able to put out a decent signal, i have even tried a repeater on it and nothing.
Does anyone know of any devices that work in these older buildings??

I was thinking of trying these to see if they overcame the sort of problems you are experiencing.
The feedback I have got from this and other forums on them is good so it may be worth trying

Ah i had never thought if that actually. I have heard of them but dont know too much about them.
Would it be a case of plugging one into one room into the PC, then another into the room with the router and into a spare port on the router?

Yes

at the simplest level 2 of them can replace an ethernet cable connection with no configuration needed.

Yup i have just literally bought myself a set of these to see if they fix my wireless issues - my brother has a set and say they work a treat

plus ordered a Viewsonic VX922 19" LCD Monitor - but thats a different topic
