I've got a new router for dedicated pc virtual reality use, connected to my pc via ethernet.

It's powered by usb c via a supplied power adapter, but there is no on off switch. So it will be powered on all the time which I don't need, I only need it on when the pc is on.

Can I power the device from my I/o back panel usb c port which is a usb c 3.0 port? That way I think it will only turn on when I turn the pc on.

Can it supply the required power? I looked in my motherboard manual and couldn't see anything about power limits on the usb ports. It is an Asus x370 prime board.
