Hi,

I'm looking into how to power multiple DSLR cameras with the least amount of plugs...

I'm currently working with a 50 camera setup so as you can imagine, that's a lot of plugs! To bring them down a bit, could I use the following?

I'd just use the DC coupler and unplug the Adapter bit

instead 8 cameras powered by one of these

I see the camera AC adaptor says 8v, the separate power supply say 9v. It'd fry the cameras?

Sorry if this is all daft, I'm not big on electricals. If anyone could point me to a similar item that won't fry the cameras. :D

It's for 3d Head scanning. Gets a full 360 degree x 50 shot view of the face to build CG characters.

We've been capturing all the actors for Star Citizen/Squadorn 42. Gary Oldman, Mark Hamill and Gillian Anderson have all sat in that seat :)

Another guy initially set it up and yes it was mainly trial and error. The photos just need to overlap a bit to ensure full coverage of the head.

There's a LOT that can be done to improve this system which I'm researching. Losing the rubbish tripods for a more secure frame work would be the 1st thing!
