Hi, was just wondering if anyone had ever encountered a problem with a computer where you would click, start, shutdown and the computer would shutdown and power off but immediatly after powering off if it powers back on and boots back up.

I thought it was Vista causing the problem because it seemed to happen after i started to use Vista but going back to XP it is still happening.

It really beginning to annoy me now.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

had this happen on my old AMD setup. but not that often, just once in a blue moon.

My celeron D used to never want to shut down, "start" "turn off"..... and it would just stay on... if i selected restart, it would shut down ok, had to keep my finger poised to hit the power button before it booted again.

Yeah its doing it every time, but its only started doing it recently.

Its a DFI Lanparty based S939 Opteron system thats been running fine for the past 16 months, since i first built it.

I have this same problem on my PC although it doesn't auto power on every time I shut down. There seems to be no pattern to this at all.

I have the Asus A8R32MVP mobo with an Operton 170.
