Hello tech-heads,
I have a question for you. When considering a SLI/Crossfire build and you need a wutunga power supply, is it preferable to have one with a *massive* single +12v Rail or one that has two/three/four +12v Rails?
I have heard a few people mention now they are not big fans of the split +12v rail PSU's but I have no idea why?
Just has a read of a few reviews on some PSU's that feature up to a *massive* 90a on a single +12 rail!
Silverstone Decathlon Series
1200w Silverstone SST-DA1200
Powerful single +12V rail with 90A
Dual PCI-E 8pin & quad PCI-E 6pin
850W Silverstone SST-DA850
Powerful single +12V rail with 70A
Dual PCI-E 8 pin connector or quad PCI-E 6 pin connectors
750w Silverstone SST-DA750
Powerful single +12V rail with 60A
Single PCI-E 8 pin connector & quad PCI-E 6 pin connectors
650W Silverstone SST-DA650
Powerful single +12V rail with 54A
Single PCI-E 8pin connectors & dual PCI-E 6pin connectors

So whats the deal then, say for a Quad-Core Machine set-up in either SLI or Crossfire, go with a PSU that features a split +12v Rail or get one that has a huge single +12v rail?
Thanks in advance
