Powering ultrawide high hz screens

So I have a huge ultrawide itch and a high hz screen itch.

the 100hz + 34'' ultrawides are getting more and more enticing. My main issue is I LOVE playing games which have good sound desing on my home theatre setup so I'm left with having to build a new rig in another part of the house to game ultrawide when I want to.

Is there a gaming laptop available which would power an ultrawide screen like the alienware or am I better off just buying a cheaper laptop and building a new rig?

Cheaper laptop and new rig, even RTX 2080 has trouble with ultrawide.

A cheaper laptop and a dedicated gaming rig is always the better option for the best performance. There are some RTX 2080 equipped laptops but you could probably buy a decent laptop and gaming rig for the same money.

Thanks guys. My decent laptop, I do mean a laptop which'd still be able to 1080p most/all games (its to replace my macbook pro).

I'll slowly watch the market and possibly look at getting a second rig at some point then. Maybe if Nvidia do a refresh at any point...
