I'm planning to move my printer upstairs to clear some room on my desk for the Corsair Air 540 I'm planning to buy next month.

Would this powerline adapter set be ok? Is there a cheaper set that could do the job just as well (or better)?

YOUR BASKET
1 x TP-Link AV200 200Mbps Mini Powerline Starter Kit Ver:3.0 (TL-PA211KIT) £29.99
Total : £35.96 (includes shipping : £4.98).

In the future I may consider adding a wireless access point upstairs as wireless signal can be quite weak up there but for now just ethernet for the printer (unless there is a wireless set for around the same price?).

i was worried my house wiring would give me poor performance, but decided to get myself the tp-link pa-411kit (500mbps) and does a good job indeed. for £34 retail store. although i'm new to using these the ones you linked will do a good job. i still find these things cool on how they work, and saved me having a 30 metre wire all around the house! :D

:) Thanks, I've not considered the 500mbps version as I'm only planning to have a printer connected to it at the moment, could always change in future if I need to. I'm a bit worried about the wiring in my house too, I'm sure the last electrician that was here said it was wired quite badly.

good man, i installed the software from there website to see what speeds the adapters were running at. Doesn't mean anything to me mind, but i thought it was worth a look lol

I don't really mind what speed they are working at as long as they are working, only going to be using it for printing (which I don't need to do very often).
