Hey can you tell me a good powerline adapter.... Fast with 2 or more ethernet connectors

Use to have tp-link that was a ok but after week months had to reset it cause kept on losing connection, after that i need 2 ethernet inputs for pc and xbox so i got a belkin was cheap and nasty that keeps dropping connection saying ip cant connect

Powerline adapters are based around a very limited number of chipsets. If you've had problems with two sets then you may just have too much interference on your mains. Something as simple as a noisy phone charger, or low energy lamps, could be to blame.

Not in my experience.

I had the dLAN 500 AVplus adapters and they don't work properly. Under load (for example if you are streaming something) they will intermittently cut off for about 30 seconds then come back again, I think because they overheat. Google says I am not the only one who found this either, so I would avoid that particular model at least.
 
I've used the Netgear and Solwise ones, both have been very reliable and never caused an issue. Have you tried experimenting with different sockets?

Also instead of getting one with multiple Ethernet ports I'd get a single one and use a separate switch.
 
Just got my TP-LINK AV500s with AC pass through. Got a free TP-LINK AV500 Nano along with it :)

Just wondering, prior to ordering these I inherited two On Network homeplugs. I've not set anything up yet as its only been a few days that we've had the internet. Should all the homeplugs connect up ok? I know I can pair up the TP-LINKs but how do I add the other adapters into the loop?
 
You'll need to check that all of the adapters are using a compatible standard. A quick glace at the On Networks site suggests that they probably will be.

To get them to work together you just need to configure them all with the same encryption key. You may need to install the utility software for both sets and configure them manually.

If you have any problems make sure the firmware for all the adapters is up-to-date.
 
Also try and plug them directly into the wall outlet not in an extension socket, even a block adapter helps a load (doubled my speed from having it plugged in to a trailing multiplug with 'noisy' DC adapters).
 
Ok cheers guy. Looks like its going to be a busy evening :)

If all works well then next step is to test WD TV plugged into one of these.
