Hi folks, I'm looking for a bit of advice...

I will be moving into a new house at the start of December where I will at last have the perk of a PC/Gaming room of my own.
Now, the router, TV, Xbox, PS3 etc will all be downstairs in the living room, with my PC upstairs until I decide on a final layout. I have a box of Cat5 available but I don't want to run any cabling (lazy I know) and don't want to use wireless as I will be streaming HD movies etc from the PC.
Hopefully the upstairs will be on the same wiring loop (I dont know much about modern wiring, the house is ~3 years old)

Has anyone used these:
Netgear AV Powerline Adapters

Throughput is rated at 200mbps. now I doubt they will acheive that but if anyone has used them I would appreciate some feedback, or evan an alternative.
I like the idea of these as they can be moved from room to room should the setup change in future

Great price on those, I didn't even check if OCUK sold them!

When you say moments, what do you mean exactly? Random disconnects or something?

Thanks for the input folks.

I'm guessing newer houses are a bit hit or miss with regards to connectivity due to current wiring standards?
