Powerline adapters with WiFi

I see these around but is there a powerline 'base' adapter where I can access it via wifi as well. I have two powerline adapters at the moment but would like wifi at both points, neither of which are near my main wifi router.

No, both powerline adapters need to broadcast wifi.

You can buy them separately. I've never seen a pack with two wireless adapters bundled together.

But can I just use two WiFi adapters with no 'master' device plugged into the router?

Powerline adapters are all equal, there isn't a master device as such.

You'll need one adapter (wireless or not) plugged into your router.

No you need a homeplug wired to your router to then be able to repeat that through your ring mains. Then you'll have a further 2 WiFi homeplugs wherever you please.

So I need three devices for two hotspots?

Yes (unless you want one of the hotspots very close to your router).
