Hi there :)

I'm after some assistance with my powerline adaptors, which don't seem to be working! I've had them a long time now [probably years] and they've been fine up until now.

They are Belkin F5D4071uk v1100.

I did have 3, but at the moment just trying to get 2 to work, as it's for my Family's PC. Windows 7 picks up a public unidentified network, or none at all. When using the troubleshoot option it says something along the lines of an IP address being invalid.

Any ideas what I should try, or why they've stopped working? I haven't changed the PC in ages, nothing obvious has changed.

Thanks!

I had a set of I think develo (or something like that) plugs, and they needed to be configured via a utility first to pair them up. You can run them as pairs, or if plugged into a router, networked, so you needed the utility in the first instance to give them sight to one another.

Best bet is to just use 2 and see if one can see the other, that way you can work our which one is playing you up.

Okay, well for whatever reason it seems to be working on the PC downstairs now.

I did try the utility on both my PC, and the family one but it didn't pick up the adaptors!?

If it makes a difference, one is connected to my router as its to share the internet connection, as it's too far for wireless to work reliably.
