powerline adaptors

They are very good, got a set for the Sky HD box, also got the 500Mb version well, with them I getting around 273Mbps if my memory is correct.

They may 'sync' at 273mbit, but you won't get anywhere near that in real world scenarios. The 500mb powerline adapters get around 80mbit in ideal conditions, dropping to 40 odd on separate rings.

would u suggest getting a 500 one then? i live in the middle of nowhere in shropshire, n internet isnt that fast

Solwise AV500 are the ones I'd probably get. Would definitely recommend the 500MB, I can get the full 100mb down the other end of my house but depends on the quality of your wiring

They use the same chipset as the more expensive Netgear ones and work out a lot cheaper. Even the ones with power passthrough are very well priced. Almost same price as TP Link AV500 without passthrough!

I use these to connect my BT Infinity modem downstairs to my Home Hub upstairs in my room. I get 80Mbps when connected directly via ethernet, while this gives me 50Mbps. Good enough for me as I'm not going to install anymore long cables around my house!

I have a set of the ones linked in the OP and they are a great job. I use them to link HH3 with a switch upstairs. All my machines and a NAS are connected via cable to the switch so the file transfers are great anyway. Using homeplugs meant I didn't have to run any wires to the switch to provide internet connectivity. Well recommended.

Absolutely - your broadband is more than likely much slower than these will support. My connection is 36Mbps and I get full speed using homeplugs.

well according to bt speed checker the estimated speed is 8mb where i live. cant tell speed till im bk for summer from uni
