Matt_Hirst, try a continuous ping:

ping -t 192.168.2.1

Pres CTRL+C to stop it.

Thanx have now sorted the problem, just realised the homeplug connected to the router is connected through an extension lead and not direct to a plug.

Swapped this around and it sorted the problem.

I just need to ring BT and get them to turn interleaving off now, pings a bit high.
