i was introduced to these a few days ago by a member of family so naturally i logged on to the OCUK shop to see what prices are like, fair to say they are not badly priced but what do people actually think to these do they work as well as people say (i.e no real loss of internet speeds like you do find with a wired connection), i look forward to seeing what people have to say :)

they are either perfect, a bit slower very slow or dont work at all...

totally depends on the mains / wiring / other devices in your house

ethernet is its an option is best and powerline if wireless is too slow or does not work at all

Been using them for about 5 years, mine have been much quicker and more stable than my wireless.

Mine have had a few issues, first were Linksys and all died (typical Linksys), connecting a powerline adapter to a power extension lead which they don't like as the speed drops off and one evening my circuit breakers tripped 2 or 3 times although probably was down to the Linksys adapters.

Ahh cool I'll not be putting them into extension leads as luckily I have a 5 meter cable that will just stretch nicely from the wall socket to my pc station so I'll be able to avoid that hassle thanks for the experiences guys :)

I have those exact ones, they work great. I use them in conjunction with another standard non-passthrough one that I got free with them, and all three work together nicely.

I've got 500mbps Dlink adapters with gigabit ports and have found them excellent. Nice software utility, good speeds and pass through so I didn't have to lose sockets.
