Hello,
I was just wondering if anyone was using a Powerline Ethernet Bridge?
I currently have my router connected to a long extension cable and my sync speeds seem to be getting worse and worse. I think this might be caused by the extension cable.
I can't really cat 5 it so im considering a using a Powerline Ethernet Bridge and having never used anything like this before was wondering what peoples experiences of them have been.
Seeing as its only going to be used for Internet is there any reason for my going for anything above the low end 14mbps models?
Does it make a massive difference the further away the electrical points are?
Are the speeds realistic?
Are they reliable?
I have been looking at the following:
Netgear XE102 Powerline Ethernet Bridge
Netgear XE103 Powerline Ethernet Bridge
I have also found this:
eConnect Homeplug 14Mbps Ethernet Adapter which seems to be a fair amount cheaper than the netgear, does anyone have any experience with this product?
Thanks for your help.
Michael
