Hey,
So basically I've just moved into a new student house, got virgin in the house, 60 down package.
Now the problem is, at home using the same powerline adaptors I was getting the full 60 down. Here I am only getting 15 with dropped connections a lot of the time. Sometimes only getting 0.5 down.

Any ideas how I can improve this, so it at least dosent drop connection?

I am on the third floor of the house, if that makes any difference.
The powerline adaptors I am using are; tp-link TL-PA411

Thanks

Are you using the powerline through an extension socket? with surge protection on it? you may want to consider plugging it directly into the wall socket? and have you tried it in different rooms in the house?

How big is the student house? There's probaably a good chance that each floor are on seperate circuits, and seeing as you're 3 floors high, adds a fair amount of distance as well. This can affect the speed and reliability. Are other students also possibly using their own powerline kits which could be affecting yours?

I am the only person in the house with powerline, and both are plugged directly into their own wall sockets. The house is quite big, is there a way to boost the signal between the 2 adaptors?
I have not tried using it in a different room yet but I will give it a go now.
This morning I cannot get it to connect at all, even after several resets of the router and powerline. I am getting an unidentified network instead of the network I should be connected to.

Thanks
