So im looking to get some Powerline/Homeplug adaptors, just a quick question first on what I need to buy.

At the moment I have it all wired but we are changing the computers to a different room, as the wires are setup so it goes through a hole inthe wall to the current room, i was thinking Homplugs would be a good idea for when we move them to the new room as I dont want to bore any more holes in the walls.

Would this work?

Modem --> Wireless router --> Homeplug --> other Homeplug --> switch to PC's

Also if I wanted to add an XBOX360 in another room, would I only need another adaptor?

If that setup is ok what would you guys recommend for the homplug adaptors?

Thanks in advance

That would work just fine (the Xbox too).

Lots of models of homeplug out there. I've always used Solwise as they were one of the first manufacturers and I've never had any issues with them. I would stick with the same manufacturer for every homeplug you buy. Lots are compatible with each other, but it's the safest way to be sure everything will work.

I'm using the PA201's (from the ground floor to the first floor) and I've had no problems with them at all, and I'm getting full speeds and low ping.
