Hi All,

Just had a TP-Link powerline adaptor go down after years of faithful service, picked up a new, faster replacement but it appears to not be compatible, or at least causes network outages, when installed with the older system (TP link app constantly refreshing, device manager doing random refreshes too), so my question is can anyone recommend a good 4 port kit (master + 3 slaves, wifi boost would be beneficial for at least one port) to replace it all in one go?

Cheers.

DB

Edit: took the plunge and ordered a full new setup, will replace all the outlets with one's that should all link together.

Couldnt resist mentioning it had gone for a Burton! Bet you never heard of that one.. j/k

I bought a few when they had first come out. They seemed to be better than some of the recent stuff, I also used to source them for between £15-20 for a set. When relatives were all after them in the past year or two they seemed to be going for double the price.

Post back how this kit performs, I gave away most of them as I built a house and hard wired in ethernet but random jobs would always need these as an option and would be good to know which kit has been recommended on here.

Ahahaha, I've heard it more than a few times, used to it now!! I'd ordered an adaptor recently to add a WiFi extender downstairs, it was the introduction of this that seems to have been causing random network issues recently tho I was struggling to track it down, it was only when the entire network died, including WiFi, that I was forced to investigate. I can use either the older master unit, or this newer device, but not both or it murders all the bandwidth I have! For reference, the older unit was a TL-PA2010P and the newer one was TL-PA4010P, seems they do NOT play well with each other!!

I'll post here when the new kits arrive, they're TL-PA4010 kits, so should hopefully all be compatible!
