Thinking of going powerline, was wondering if it's worth getting over traditional wireless N

I wish I could run a massive length of Ethernet cable through my house to my room but that's not happening :(

I need a one with a socket built in as where my router is there is only a single socket and i'm guessing they don't work if plugged into extension leads

Will powerline adapters give me a better consistent speed then and £40 instead of paying £100+ for a top of the range router that is still not better.

Powerline please xD

Good ones will, unless Thomas Edison installed your home electrical system himself :) As mentioned the TP AV200s are fab

Even when plugged into normal extension leads

Where my router is there is only 1 socket, the router, phone etc is all connected up to the extension and upstairs next to my computer I have a double socket.

There is a double socket next to my router but only problem is theres a door in the way if i was to follow the wall with the Ethernet cable
