Hi,

I've had enough of using flaky wireless for gaming, are powerline adapters likely to be much better? I am ofc assuming the wireless adapter is the cause of my poor performance and not that I'm just a crap player! :D ;)

Looking at this:

http://www.netgear.co.uk/home/products/powerline-and-coax/work-and-play/XAV2501.aspx

I've got loads of devices connected to the router atm, all of them wireless, but only need to get one of them (my gaming machine) through a wired link. I assume I can keep using wireless for the majority of the devices and the powerline adapters for the gaming machine?

Router if it makes any difference is a Netgear DG834PN.

Cheers! :)

Tbh I don't have a problem getting wireless to work anywhere in the house, my problem is that I think it is not suited to gaming? I assumed that these powerline adapters would lower the ping, is that not likely to be the case?

Thanks. :)
