I've got some old tplink AV500s
The TP-link app states they are connected at about 250Mbps.
The Gigabit switches on either side of them both have them connected at 100Mbps.

If I upgrade to Gigabit powerline plugs will I be able to get past the 100Mbps bottle neck?

I wouldn't expect it to run at a Gig but getting closer to my max internet speed would be nice.

The actual possible throughput on AV500 adapters is likely to be under 100Mbps. If you divide the rate shown in the utility by three you'll be somewhere close. Adding Gigabit ports wouldn't make them any faster.

If you're buying AV1200 or better adapters with Gigabit ports there's a good chance you'll break the 100Mbps barrier. If the environment really suits them, you could see 2/300Mbps.

No idea how fast your internet connection is, so no way of knowing if any Powerline adapters will get close enough.

As always, a few £s worth of copper and a bit of effort will give you reliable Gigabit or better connection.

I think the most I saw from the TP link AV2000 (wpa9610 +pa9020) was 500Mb but it varied around the house and in my office when I moved house where I wanted good net I only got 40Mb :(

making the effort to wire is worth it if you can, it's reliable, the TP links would often require a restart every few months which was annoying but again this could well be specific to my setup and the fact that I ran in tandom with other AV2 powerline devices of an older speed and spec.
